Terri Patraw: "Absolutely Despicable"

This is testimony from a former UNR faculty member.  She is also reading from a letter (in italics) written by a former student to the UNR Director of Affirmative Action:
_________________________

It turns out that because they have enabled this person (Robert Karlin) and his sexually deviant behavior - - he's still employed at UNR, he's still teaching - - and this is another example of how he's now going on to touch female students.

"I find the fact that four other women have come forward and that the university is still employing Karlin to be absolutely despicable.

The university is taking on a real liability and is failing to provide adequate protection for its female faculty and students from this known offender.

Had the university acted against Karlin instead of settling the previous sexual harassment complaint, I would have been protected and these incidents would never have occurred.

It is unreasonable to continue to protect Karlin.  He is, in short, another lawsuit waiting to happen and will continue to abuse women at this institution."

Female students are unprotected, we have people we know, sexual harassers who are protected at taxpayer expense running rampant on the campus; is there a female student who is safe on this campus?
