In Honor Of March Madness, Sports Betting, Golf Coach

We could not help but think of our ol' colleague Rich Merritt with college basketball's March Madness starting up.

Merritt is the former Head Men's Golf Coach at the University of Nevada who was forced out in 2008 after the NCAA came to town to investigate allegations of his numerous NCAA violations, including sports betting (a very serious violation for employees of the NCAA).

At the whistleblower hearing Athletic Director Cary Groth sat and listened to eyewitness testimony under oath from a confidante of Merritt's that Merritt bet on college and professional sports at local casinos.

Despite the repeated spin and manipulation in the media from Groth that Merritt will be cleared of sports betting charges when the NCAA renders its decision, Groth knows the evidence says otherwise.

It should be noted that Merritt and Groth come from the same school of ethics . . . liars, liars!
