What Do A.D. Cary Groth and Pinocchio Have In Common?
We ran across an old article from June 2008. We could not help but revisit it in light of the recent NCAA sanctions against Nevada as it exposes more lies by Athletic Director Cary Groth and Golf Coach Rich Merritt.
This statement below was made shortly after Merritt stepped down from his position.
In resigning this month, Rich Merritt said he made "errors in judgment" the athletic department was not aware of, but he declined to elaborate.
Athletic Director Cary Groth said the NCAA investigation had nothing to do with Merritt's resignation.
Groth was absolutely aware of Merritt's misconduct as far back as June 2007.
And, Merritt's termination (disguised as a resignation) had everything to do with the NCAA investigation.
Yes, UNR President Milton Glick is fully aware that his athletic director is both a liar and a retaliator.
