The Motto: "Do As We Say, Not As We Do"
Nevada Associate Athletic Director Keith Hackett commenting on a student-athlete on the football team:
“From a behavioral standpoint, you can’t do things that continue to embarrass your family’s name, your program, your athletics department, and your university,” Hackett said.
But Mr. Hackett, Athletic Director Cary Groth continues to engage in behavior that "embarrasses her family's name, the athletics department, and the university". See the post directly below: President Glick Admits A.D. Groth Has Behavior Issues?
Hackett also said, “It was bad for them to be drinking to the point where they don’t have control of their senses..."
But Mr. Hackett, a Nevada coach was recently convicted of a DUI (blood alcohol content of .133) after he was witnessed accelerating at high rates of speed leaving the strip club Fantasy Girls. This coach clearly "drank to the point where he did not have control of his senses".
So why should the student-athletes be expected to behave appropriately when the athletic director and certain coaches do not? Unbelievable...
