One Devil In Georgia Is Enough

The University of Georgia has named a new athletic director, Greg McGarity, University of Florida's Associate Athletic Director.

We could not help but ponder whether Mark Fox, now the head basketball coach at Georgia, encouraged or discouraged the potential candidacy of Nevada Athletic Director Cary Groth for the position.

The quandary for Fox is that he knows Groth is an embarrassment to Nevada Athletics, he knows she is corrupt, and he knows she is in over her head as an athletic director (i.e. million dollar budget deficit, NCAA probation, confessed retaliator, and chronic liar).

However, Fox also knows that Groth and his wife are deeply implicated together in criminal activity in Reno.  And criminals usually stick together until the hand cuffs are applied.

Fox is also aware that Groth covered up major violations of NCAA rules in the basketball program under his leadership.  She also concealed other misconduct of Fox's while he was at Nevada.

Perhaps Fox would feel like he owes Groth something.

Regardless, Georgia was looking for "a person of integrity"... a quality Groth is severely lacking.

We guess one devil in Georgia is enough.  See post below, "Devil Went Down To Georgia".
