UNR's Mary Dugan A Transparent No-Show
Another embarrassingly transparent act from the hearing on the motion to disqualify Judge Flanagan . . .
In the days prior to the hearing, we mentioned in a brief to the presiding judge that we fully expected that UNR General Counsel Mary Dugan would be a no-show at the hearing.
You see, much of the allegations pertained to Dugan's "relationship" with Judge Flanagan and all the bias, misconduct, and corruptness that stemmed from it. We knew Dugan would never face the evidence we had.
When we arrived at the hearing, a court clerk asked then-UNR lawyer Charles Hilsabeck if Dugan would be coming to the hearing (since she was the lead attorney of record for UNR). Hilsabeck sheepishly said no.
We emphasized to the presiding judge at the hearing how transparent it was that Dugan "no-showed" when her relationship with Judge Flanagan was at issue. We also reminded him that we predicted this ahead of time.
Of course, Dugan was very interested in what took place as she could not get a transcript of the hearing fast enough. Her subordinates ordered it for her as soon as the hearing ended.
You have to wonder what Judge Flanagan was thinking as he endured nearly 2 hours of questioning on the witness stand in a public hearing, while his "friend" Dugan hid in her office.
These people have no shame and no self-respect.
Judge Flanagan did finally admit to the relationship when directly confronted about it on the witness stand.
