Yes, Rich Merritt Bet On College Sports!

We could not help but think of former Nevada Golf Coach Rich Merritt yesterday when we heard someone talking about the "betting line" on the Nevada - Hawaii football game.

Merritt is the golf coach who bet on college sports, including Nevada basketball and football games, in violation of the NCAA rules while he was employed at Nevada.

Of course he lied to anyone and everyone about his illegal activities, including the NCAA.
A quick read of the NCAA report on Merritt reveals that several people incriminated Merritt in sports betting.

The NCAA cited him for lying in the report and also detailed his refusal to cooperate in their investigation.

We have heard eye witness testimony of Merritt's betting activities, including his sinister efforts to conceal it.

A.D. Cary Groth knows Merritt bet on college sports and retained him anyway.  She also repeatedly lied to the community about Merritt's sports betting activities.  Need we say more?

If Merritt won his bet on the Nevada game last night perhaps he split his winnings with his pal Groth.
