Criminal, Shameful, Embarrassing . . .

As noted in the post directly below, UNR General Counsel Mary Dugan and Faculty Athletic Representative Dr. Jean Perry asked the NCAA to help them conceal public documents . . . which is a felony.

What is really embarrassing about this request is that the NCAA has a database (on their website) of all the major infractions cases going back as far as 1953.

Shouldn't the Faculty Athletic Representative, the Athletic Director, and legal counsel know that all public infractions reports are available on the world wide web?

. . . especially since Athletic Director Cary Groth is a veteran defendant of major infractions cases.  Northern Illinois University was sanctioned by the NCAA for major violations under Groth's leadership too.

So while UNR officials were asking for illegal favors from the NCAA, they also demonstrated their lack of qualifications for the positions they hold.

What is especially shameful in all of this is that Groth, Dugan, and Perry were trying to keep important information from the community and donors.  So much for operating with transparency.

In other words, they want to defraud the donors by telling them that they do things with integrity . . . when the reality is . . . they do not.
