Tekla Martin's Motivation To Retaliate
As mentioned in previous posts, notably Corrupt Hiring Practices In Nevada Athletics, Athletic Director Cary Groth has a proven track record of hiring friends / domestic partners over more qualified applicants.
Here is more evidence to support this:
Sifting through the recent batch of documents that a colleague got his hands on, there was confirmation of what has long been scuttlebutt (and frustration) in the Nevada Athletic Department:
Groth's pal, Tekla Martin, does not have an undergraduate degree. Certainly there are plenty of people who work at universities in various positions that do not have college degrees. However . . .
Tekla Martin is an Associate Athletic Director!
The minimum requirement for that position is an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution! This position is above an Assistant A.D., which also requires a college degree.
Any guesses where Tekla Martin last worked? Yep, Northern Illinois University with Groth!
So Tekla has been working on a college campus for years and does not bother to get a degree to further her career . . . yet Groth finds her worthy of one of the top positions in a university athletic department.
It is clear why Tekla Martin joined the retaliation team . . . No other Athletic Director or President in the country would allow her to serve in that position without a degree.
Tekla knows she will only have that position as long as her very corrupt pal Groth is at Nevada.
