More Incompetence By A.D. Cary Groth
Continuing with Nevada Athletic Director Cary Groth's decision to reassign the head volleyball coach to the compliance department (discussed in the two posts directly below) . . .
According to the RGJ, Groth said that a national search for a new coach will start after the upcoming season - "due to budget constraints". The volleyball season is August through December.
This means that Groth is going to wait at least 10 months to hire a head coach! Stick a fork in recruiting for the next two years for that program!
To quote a Nevada student-athlete, "Groth does not care about the student-athletes at all!"
Seriously . . . just when you think you have heard it all.
Why remove the head coach if you are not ready to make the change? Why announce to the community that you are an incapable fundraiser?
Don't you worry ... Nevada can still afford payroll for Groth's domestic partner and Groth's pal and resident retaliator, Tekla Martin.
No budget constraints there . . . despite their lack of qualifications for the positions they hold.
Speaking of fundraising, Tekla Martin's job title is Assoc. AD for Development. This means she responsible for fundraising.
