Did Someone Say Embezzlement?
An interesting story broke in Reno this past week . . .
It was announced that the Sheriff's Office was investigating possible embezzlement by an unnamed employee at the Washoe County Court House.
Curious to see if we would recognize the name of the person as we have spent plenty of time there.
We kept our ears out for the follow-up story and were disappointed to find out that the employee under scrutiny was one of the two people we were hoping it wasn't.
We got to know this woman on a professional level as she was helpful in assisting with the UNR public corruption case.
Two things that struck me about the recent headline and articles:
1) She hired John Arrascada to defend her. Arrascada is Cary Groth's lawyer. More on this one later.
2) The headline, "Sheriff's Office Investigating Possible Embezzlement" has had to have led to some sleepless nights for some folks in and around UNR. Now there is a story for you!
