With Friends Like That Who Needs Enemies
Following up on the embezzlement case in the Washoe County Court House discussed in the post below. . . the RGJ had a really interesting and detailed article about it in the paper a couple days ago.
The article discusses criticisms of court officials, including the Chief Judge, for their handling of the matter.
It also mentions that an employee, separate from the one who was caught embezzling the money, was placed on administrative leave.
The court officials and this other employee may or may not have been negligent in their responsibilities.
However, what struck us was that the person who was embezzling the money, for selfish reasons, put these people in this position in the first place.
This got us thinking about Nevada Athletic Director Cary Groth and her selfish leadership.
Groth has put so many people in terrible positions, requiring their assistance to help her in covering up her crimes and NCAA violations. Many of these people have been coerced to commit crimes themselves.
In some cases, Groth used these people and disposed of them professionally as soon as she got what she needed. In others, she enlisted her personal friends to assist her, jeopardizing their careers and futures.
