Associate AD Cindy Fox Covered Up NCAA Violations

As mentioned below in "Nevada A.D. Cary Groth Embarrasses Self, University Again", we recently received some documents from another university ... notably, emails of Groth and former Associate AD Cindy Fox.

One particular email between an administrator at this other university and Fox was found to be terribly ironic.

This administrator was wishing Fox well on her move to Georgia.  Fox's husband, Mark, had just been named head basketball coach at the University of Georgia.

The administrator was warning Cindy Fox that she knew a person in the UGA compliance department ... and that this person should not be relied upon for proper NCAA compliance advice.

The email was clearly a dig at the ethics (or lack thereof) of the unnamed UGA employee.

Oh the irony . . .

If this administrator only knew that Cindy Fox covered up NCAA violations in the men's basketball program (her husband's program) while she was the Associate AD at Nevada.

Cindy Fox was #2 in the athletic department hierarchy, right behind Groth.

During that time, it was brought to Cindy Fox's attention that the men's basketball coach(es) were cheating in recruiting.  No nepotism issues there?

Guess what Cindy Fox did about it?  NOTHING!  Of course, Groth also covered-up these violations.  That is documented here and here and here.

Cindy Fox is well aware that we know all of this information.  Which probably explains, in part, why Cindy's name is all over the unlawful falsification and submission of personnel files.

Oh yes ... she was caught red-handed.   More on this later . . .
